Anime Toshokan Inc. was founded by Michael Anderson (Mikuru//X) in 1998 in order to be the main community site for its operations under the “A.G.E.S. Network” name. Anime Toshokan first iteration on the internet started back in late 1998 under the name "Katsuhiko Jinnai's Humble Anime Home". Two years after, the site went through an expansion with the help of two people whom became the co-founders of the group. They went by their onlines "Otaru" & "Akari" to form what became "Team JAOS". Back then, this site was specializing in becoming a fansite for anything related to the animation company "AIC" (Anime International Company) whom are the makers of such anime titles like Tenchi Muyo, Daiundokai Battle Athletes, El-Hazard, Ah! Megami-sama, & so on. Because of this, the site name changed to "AIC World". AIC World went though so many transformation over the years until it became stagnant when Mikuru//X (back then known as Katsuhiko Jinnai) left overseas while in the military. During that time, Mikuru//X decided to expand the site again again as the group would start venturing into development of simfiles for Stepmania & releasing doujin games off its site. This is when the site changed it's name to what you see now as Anime Toshokan Inc.
Over the past few years, Anime Toshokan has became dormant & pretty much gone into haitus as the internet advanced and interests amongst the members of this site have gone to better things. Anime Toshokan Inc. is current in a reorganizing state where its focus is slowly going towards the site owners own hometown community while still catering an national & internation presence.
At Anime Toshokan, we try our best to spread awareness of anime & manga as well doujin games, online games, & music (well, within these lines of interest). Over the years, we’ve operated with this mind and at this time we are currently working to become a even more active entity in the anime & gaming community by seeking help from the anime fansub community. In the future, we hope that we can provide the service that everyone can simply log into our services and find what they are looking for. That is the dream of our founder, Mikuru//X.
