  7. In this year's 20th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine, they will be revealing that the TV anime based on Sakaku Head's manga series "Himouto! Umaru-chan"will be getting a second season. The live-streamed DaraNama Returns program also announced the news on Saturday. The anime's official website and Young Jump posted a teaser promotional video and visual for the season coming this fall (can be found below). The main staff from the series first season is slated to return for the second season, this includes the anime studio Doga Kobo, director Masahiko Ohta, series script supervisor Takashi Aoshima, and character designer Aya Takano. According to the description of the teaser video, the following main cast will be returning to reprise their roles: Aimi Tanaka as Umaru Doma Kenji Nojima as Taihei Doma Akari Kageyama as Nana Ebina Haruka Shiraishi as Kirie Motoba Yurina Furukawa as Sylphynford Tachibana The first televised anime series first premiered in July 2015 and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime for North America and will release the series with a English dub. The 10th volume of the manga will ship on April 19 and will also be bundled with an OVA (original video animation) DVD which the original TV staff & cast will also be returning for. Sankaku Head launched the manga in Weekly Young Jump in 2013 (after running an earlier two chapter Himouto! Umaru-chan version in Miracle Jump in 2012). 2.7 million copies are in print as of March of this year. The manga centers around Taihei Doma and his little sister Umaru, who boasts beautiful looks as well as prowess in both school and sports. However, she has a certain secret. Everyone may think she is the ideal girl, but she is anything but. "Himōto" is a pun on "imōto" (little sister) and "himono," which means "dried fish," but in slang can refer to a woman who is proper in public but lazy at home. The manga inspired the Akita Imokko! Ebina-chan, Himōto! Umaru-chan S, and Himōto! Umaru-chan SS spinoff manga. Himōto! Umaru-chan SS ended on February 28. The manga has also inspired the Himōto! Umaru-chan F: Himōto Enikki fanbook and the Himōto! Umaru-chan N novel. Credited by: Anime News Network
  8. On Friday, the team responsible for the Dragonball Z inspired fan game "Hyper Dragonball Z" has just released the latest version update called "The Champ's Build" to the M.U.G.E.N powered indie game. With this update comes a slew of changes along with the game HUB, character balance across the whole game, & new stages. Along with the new game version update, the team also released a trailer highlighting which shows off some of the game changes as well as show some of the incoming characters that will be making their way in 2017 like Juuhachigou (Android 18), Krillin, Tien, Majin Buu, & Gotenks: Hyper Dragonball Z is an unofficial Dragonball Z fighting game created to resemble what a DBZ fighting game would look like it if was made by the Japanese game development company Capcom. The game is created by a team of people who create content for the fighting game engine "M.U.G.E.N". M.U.G.E.N. is a game engine that's been around for years that is used mostly to make fighting games which allows people to make their own dream fighting game.....although there is some small programming & designing on the developers part required if you want to make your game. You can download a pre-made game from other developers and play them right off the bat let alone customize them to your liking (again, if you know how). Hyper Dragonball Z is available to download now from the groups facebook page.

  16. It's with deep regret that as of March 9, 2017, Anime Toshokan Inc. will officially close down our IRC channel on Rizon. We say this because it has been a staple within Anime Toshokan dating back to when our site was originally called "AIC World" and because of the long history it has with our group. This decision was made due to the inactivity of the channel and because most of the A-T IRC staff has jumped ship to our Discord channels. Anime Toshokan currently has 2 Discord groups which are operated by Mikuru//X & Akadai Shirou (both operate one each). One deals with the A-T group as a whole and the other deals with the A-T gaming guild. For those of you whom been with us for all of these years, thank you so very much for the memories and good times (and bad) we've had. If you would like to meet us on Discord, please click here: https://discord.gg/hQARJ6a

  26. So I start my first life blog post at the end of the year huh? Really shows where my priorities have gone when I can make a life blog post but can't keep this site going to save me. 2016 has been a spiral of good times and bad for me; some of which I somehow wish I could redo over or regret. Some of it are accomplishments (to me) that I'm proud of and hope to build up upon in the next year. The thing about me is that I'm never happy with my current state of life....always wanting something better but I feel that because of where I live, that hinders me from wanting to progress so I end up staying where I am, never to move beyond what I'm doing....always dreaming of what could be, I suppose. I think that's mostly about my current state at my current employer. I want to progress but things that are out of my hands are keeping me from doing so. Because of this, I feel like I want a career change but something not in logistics & manufacturing. Doing this for over 10 years is wearing me out and honestly, I'm bored of it because I'm doing it out of necessity to keep my current state of life, not because I enjoy it. In my gaming career, I think I'm pretty much done with Street Fighter. In all honesty, I've been sick of it for a long time now because it's all people play in my hometown, with the exception of a handful of people I know that plays other things. I love Koihime Enbu, I love Blade Arcus, I love Nitro+ Blasterz, I love Guilty Gear Xrd, I love Urban Legend in Limbo, I love Aquapazza, I love Arcana Heart, and much more for they make me feel like I'm having fun when playing them because it's something I don't see ALL THE DAMN TIME. Yeah, I play lots of fighting games but I also love MMORPGs and others....but I really don't play sports games (with a few exception....one being 3 on 3 Freestyle Basketball Online). Speaking of MMORPGs, I've officially ended my life in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. I felt like I wasn't progressing fast enough and that I was being left behind everyone and even those in my Free Company "Viva Eorzea". Since then, I've been spending a good deal of my MMORPG life in Black Desert Online.....partially because it's Pay-2-Play with no subscription and because it's more action based & life simulation. I play as I want and I'm not too far behind anyone in my guild "Haki". All in good fun, I'll say. Anime Weekend Atlanta in September has come and gone and that - I can say - was one of the biggest accomplishments in my life. Never have I worked with a 3rd party gaming publisher to help promote their games and have them attend the convention to help us. Last year, I did get support from Arc System Works with promoting Arcana Heart 3 Love Max but that was only on a promotional level and they did not attend but this year I worked with Degica Games to have them promote their games with us at the convention. It was really fun to have them there and I really want to thank Nick from Degica for giving us a chance to show off some of their games to the con goers. Hopefully, we can have them back again next year to show even more. In life, I've gone on a month and half long diet which has done me some good but now I feel as though I'm gaining that weight back so I really should get back to my exercising routine again. This was mostly due to my high blood pressure and weight (I was 219lbs and gone down to 206lbs). Other than that, nothing else eventful has happened. Well, with 2017 knocking on our door in just a few hours, I hope for next year, things will go in a different direction for me but for the better. I hope we all don't burn in hell here in North America with the POS we're going to have as president. We are so screwed..... From everyone and myself at Anime Toshokan, Happy New Year everyone!
