Taku Takahashi, Teddyloid, & DAOKO To Attend Anime Weekend Atlanta 2017

Anime Weekend Atlanta 2017 is turning out to be a very big year as they recently announced two more special music guests to attend the convention this year in September. It was announced via AWA's Facebook page that Teddyloid & DAOKO will be attending the convention along with recently announced guest ☆Taku Takahashi (Taku was announced back on May 22nd).
Taku Takahashi rose to fame as the DJ/Producer of the J-pop music group “m-flo". ☆Taku Takahashi also served as supervisor to the soundtracks for the hit Japanese anime “Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt”, and made waves in the music industry for his work with the drama/movie ‘’Nobunaga Concerto’’. In addition to all of these incredible credits, ☆Taku Takahashi did production work for Space Dandy and Square Enix's "Figureheads".
☆Taku Takahashi is the founder of Japan’s first and only Dance Music Radio Station “block.fm”.
TeddyLoid started his career as MIYAVI’s DJ and sound producer by joining his world tour when he was only 18 years old. He also produced the OST for the GAINAX anime “Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt” with ☆Taku Takahashi(m-flo). He has also had experience in units with Shibasaki Ko and DECO*27, established galaxias!, worked on the album “TOXIC” for the GazettE, and has produced “Neo STARGATE” for Momoiro Clover Z,. In 2013, TeddyLoid had a guest appearance at Seibu Dome Taikai. Furthermore, he has provided BGM to the anime “Mekakucity Actors”.
TeddyLoid has also produced Vocaloid IA tracks and remixes, Square Enix’s “Mugen∞Knights”, and WRECKING CREW ORCHESTRA’s, new long production “SUPERLOSERZ SAVE THE EARTH”, directed by Amon Miyamoto. In 2014 he produced the music for the short film “ME!ME!ME”, which was visualized by Hibiki Yoshizaki and vocals sang by DAOKO.
TeddyLoid debuted as a solo artist by releasing his EP from King Records’ EVIL LINE RECORDS in August 2014, “UNDER THE BLACK MOON” and his first album “BLACK MOON RISING” in September. In summer 2015, he started “Momoiro Clover Z×TeddyLoid Remix Project” and released an official remix album, “Re:MOMOIRO CLOVER Z” . In Momoiro Clover Z’s big summer event “Momoshinsai 2015”, he performed the opening act as DJ. In December, he released his first collaboration product with 12 tracks and 14 sets of guests on “SILENT PLANET” as his original 2nd album. The guests included big names like Tetsuya Komuro, Yasutaka Nakata, HISASHI from GLAY, KOHH, and more.
In 2016, TeddyLoid produced two tracks for HAL College of Technology & Design, one of which titled “Daisuki with TeddyLoid” was a commercial with Hibiki Yoshizaki and vocals by DAOKO. The contrasting track “Daikirai feat. Chanmina” also garnered attention for featuring the up and coming Korean rapper Chanmina.
TeddyLoid also created the opening track “Red Doors feat. Yoshikazu Mera” for this summer’s new anime, 18if. This September, TeddyLoid will perform at the world-renowned EDM festival ULTRA JAPAN 2017.
DAOKO is a rapper/singer born in Tokyo in 1997. After uploading videos of her tracks to Nico Nico at the age of 15, her popularity led her to release her first album in 2012, titled “HYPER GIRL – Mukougawa no Onna no Ko.” At 16, she was propelled further into the public eye by her collaboration song “IRONY” with the legendary unit m-flo. The track was selected as the theme song for the movie “Taka no Tsume.”
In 2014, DAOKO sang her 3rd hit which made her mark around the world: “ME!ME!ME!”, with music produced by TeddyLoid and short film by visual artist Hibiki Yoshizaki. The following year DAOKO signed to the renowned label TOY'S FACTORY and released her self-titled major debut album. DAOKO's work with anime tie-ups includes the opening song “Kakureba” for The Dragon Dentist, “Haikei Goodbye Sayonara” and “Cinderella step” for Rage of Bahamut: VIRGIN SOUL, and “Uchiage Hanabi” with Kenshi Yonezu for the movie Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?. Her newest release, “Forever Friends” is a cover of the original track from the 1993 original release of the film Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?.

Bandai-Namco announced that will release GIRLS und PANZER: Dream Tank Match for PS4 in Asia region with English subtitles.
That is, the game will be available in Southeast Asia (Singapore, Maylasia, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia) in both digital and physical format during Japanese Winter in 2017.
Therefore, in case the game is not released in the West, there is an option for who wants to play in English.
From this news has been created a rumor that the game will be launched in the West. Anime Toshokan Update - July 31, 2017

Anime Toshokan has conducted a system upgrade of our content management system (CMS) Invision Power Suite. With this upgrade comes the addition for members to create their own clubs. By now, you should be able to see the "Clubs" link in the header at the top of the site. We will be making guide lines as to what kind of clubs will be allowed to be made on Anime Toshokan as we must still follow the terms of service of our web host.
The "Clubs" feature allows members to make their own clubs within Anime Toshokan. Club creators will be able to set privacy settings for their clubs from making open public clubs to invite only clubs. Within these clubs, club leaders will be able to make their own club forums, set event, set club calendars, & more. As the names state, open clubs are open to everyone to join and for everyone to see while invite only clubs are private clubs in which no one can see their activity except club members (& Anime Toshokan staff).

Examu Launches Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars Kickstarter for PC [UPDATED]

UPDATE #3: As of today, the Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars Kickstarter has finally reached the next stretch goal. The new additional character code named "Shark Girl" is funded and will be added into the Steam port of the game as DLC. Shark Girl will be released sometime in the summer of next year.

UPDATE #2: Examu has recently added new backer tiers and have shown off all of the stretch goals for Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars. These stretch goals include adding Parace 'L Sia, the arcana of life, as a selectable arcana along with balance changes and 3 new additional characters. Each character doesn't have official names so their code names go as followed:
Shark Girl (her arcana will be Parace 'L Sia) Dark Heart (with Dark Heart Giest) Omega (she will be the final boss of a completely new storyline in the game if the stretch goal is met)
Examu added an additional final stretch goal which remains hidden as of right now. The kickstarter currently sits at $174,999 as of this posting, making the first stretch goal for Parace 'L Sia & balance changes unlocked. The next stretch goal is to make Shark Girl a playable character which sits at $260,000. We'll update more as the kickstarter advances. There are only 15 days remaining till the end of the Kickstarter.
UPDATE #1: As of this posting, EXAMU has met it's Kickstarter goal of $100,000 with the current donation standing at $119,131. Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars will now be heading to Steam this Winter. Preparations for the additional character stretch goals are currently in process and Examu will have another update regarding the first stretch goal this week. Congratulations to Examu on achieving the initial goal!!
Examu has launched it's long planned Kickstarter for the crowdfunding of Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars!!!!!!, the third iteration of Arcana Heart 3, to be released for Steam (PC) on Wednesday (July 5th). The campaign goal that Examu has set for this Kickstarter is at $100,000 and as of this posting, the current donation standing is at $65,457 within 3 days. The Kickstarter ends on August 2nd.

The campaign currently has 3 additional stretch goals which are currently unknown as of right now but it is believed that they are going to help fund the three additional characters that are planned for the home version of Six Stars in which Examu has only shared silhouettes of. No other information pertaining to these additional characters (or if they will have arcanas) is known at the current time. If successful, the development of the game will run till its release in December of this year while the additional characters will begin development next year in January and lead up to their release roughly around to a Summer release.....that's assuming the stretch goals are met for those characters.
Those backer rewards for those who help fund the kickstarter ranges from a thank you letter from Takaya Koji (the director of the series), a Steam code for the game release, a digital original soundtrack, a digital illustration book, a physical copy of the Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars, a physical copy of the soundtrack & illustration book, your name being added to the game ending credits, T-shirt, stickers, a certification of appreciation, an original illustration from the artists of the series, and a original drawing of whatever you choose for those who plan to donate the highest tier amount (which is $5,000).
Examu released Arcana Heart 3 for arcades in Japan for the Taito Type X2 board on December 22, 2009 with the home console port being released on January 13, 2011. Aksys Games released the home version for North America on April 19, 2011 for the Playstation 3 Entertainment System while Zen Project released it on August 19th of that same year but for the Playstation 3 & Xbox 360. The first update to the game, Arcana Heart 3 Love Max!!!!!, released in Japanese arcades on May 8, 2013. The following year, the console version saw a release on May 25th for Japan, September 23rd for North America by Aksys Games, & November 20th for Europe by NIS Europe. The Steam port of Love Max!!!!! was released worldwide on September 29, 2015 by Arc System Works (you may recall, we helped with the advertising of the game back at Anime Weekend Atlanta 2015 before it's release......thanks again to Arc System Works). Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars!!!!!! was released in arcades in December 2014.
Tohru Sakura, the creator and lead writer fo the game series, recently passed away at the beginning of May. Sakurai wrote the scenario for the first Arcana Heart game back in 2006 and continued to write the scenarios for the future games in the series.

  1. This time I pick a translated song lyrics and try to understand the meaning of words and grammar. Literal sentence (English) first, literal sentence (Portuguese) second, then the original translation (English), that may be incorrect! 不思議だね いまの気持ち Mysterious, is not it? Feeling of now. Misterioso, não é? Sentimento de agora. Aren't our feelings right now mysterious? 不思議 (ふしぎ) - estranho (strange), misterioso (mysterious) だね - não é (is not) いま - agora (now) の - indica posse (indicates possession) 気持ち (きもち) - sentimento, sensação (feeling, sensation) Japanese language has no plural or genre, so kimochi can be interprected as "feeling" or "feelings". きもち (feeling) is placed after the particle の, so it belongs to いま (now). 空から降ってきたみたい From the sky, falling it came seems like A partir do céu, caindo veio parece Like they descended from the sky 空 (そら) - céu (sky) から - indica ponto de início, lugar ou tempo (indicates a starting point, place or time) 降って - caindo - passado progressivo (falling - past progressive) きた - veio - passado indicativo (came - past progressive) みたい - como, parece (seems like, looks like) から indicates that sky is the starting point where our kimochi fell from. 特別な季節の色が ときめきを見せるよ The color's palpitation of this special season I will show you A palpitação da cor desta temporada especial mostrarei I'll show you the heart-pounding color of this special season 特別 (とくべつ) - especial (special) な - conectar o adjetivo-na à palavra cacterizada (to connect the adjective-na to the characterized word) 季節 (きせつ)- temporada, estação (season, station) の - indica posse (indicates possession) 色 (いろ)- amor, cor (love, color) が - indica sujeito da sentença (indicates subject of the sentence) ときめき - heartbeat, excitement を - indica objeto direto do verbo (indicates direct object of the verb) 見せる - mostrar - presente indicativo (to show - present indicative) よ - ao final da sentença para declarar forte convicção (at the end of sentence to declare a strong conviction) 初めて出会った時から From the moment we met by chance for the first time Desde o momento em que nos encontramos por acaso pela primeira vez Since we first met, 初めて (はじめて)- pela primeira vez (for the first time) 出会った (であった)- encontrar-se por acaso - passado perfeito (to meet by chance - past perfect) 時 (とき) - momento (moment) から - indica ponto de início, lugar ou tempo (indicates a starting point, place or time) 会う (au) means "to meet". When 出 (de) is placed before it, it means "to meet by chance". 予感に騒ぐ心の Melody Ringing as a presentiment, the melody of my heart... Agitando-se como um pressentimento, a melodia do meu coração... The melody of my heart has played joyously like a premonition 予感 (よかん)- pressentimento (presentiment) に - indica objeto indireto de um verbo e onde uma ação ocorre (indicates indirect object of a verb and where an action occurs) 騒ぐ - sentir-se excitado (to feel excited) 心 (こころ)- coração (heart) の - indica posse (indicates possession) Melody - melodia Imagine a comma here, because 騒ぐ and こころ are not linked. とめられないとまらない な・ぜ ... can't be stopped, will not stop - why? ... não pode ser parada, não vai parar - por quê? The meaning of this word is very fushigi to me. なまえをつける - assignar/atribuir nome - verbo "nomear" (assign a name - verb "to name") 想いが重なるまで待てずに Until feelings pile up, without wait Até os sentimentos acumularem, sem esperar I'm unable to wait until the feelings pile up おもい - sentimento (feeling) かさなる - acumular (to accumulate) まで - ponto de chegada - até (reaching point - until) まてず - não pode esperar (can't wait) 悔しいけど好きって純情 Though frustrating, to love is a pure feeling Embora frustrante, amar é um sentimento puro It's frustrating, but love is pure like that くやしい - humilhante, decepcionante, frustrante (humiliating, disappointing, frustrating) けど - embora (though) すきって - amar, gostar, preferência por, gosto por (to love, to like, preference for) じゅんじょう - mente pura, inocência, sentimento puro (pure mind, innocence, pure feeling) A friend told me that すきって is the nominalization of the verb "to like/to love" (好き). 微熱の中 ためらってもダメだね Em meio a essa febre suave, hesitar é proibido, né? 2. Last "greeting" phrase of Carisa as a merchant: "いらっしゃいませ!買わないんだったらさっさと帰ってくださいね。" いらっしゃい (imperative of いらっしゃる) - to come; to go; to be + ませ (polite form) = inviting someone to enter your shot or to visit it again; welcome かわない (negative present indicative of 買う) - to buy, to purchase だったら (plain form of verb to be, "だ") + ~ったら - suggest something is さっさと - quickly かえて (TE form of 帰る) - to return, to come home, to go home, to go back; to leave + ください (attached to a verb) = leave, please ね - this one is complicated Literal: Please, enter! (いらっしゃいませ)! If you are not buying (かわない + だったら) , quickly (さっさと) please go back (かえてください), okay (ね)? Non-literal: Welcome (いらっしゃいませ)! In case you can't afford anything (かわない + だったら), please come back again (かえてください) soon (さっさと), okay (ね)? She is asking the customer to return to her shop again if he does not have money to buy something now. This is the polite way to say, but is Carisa so lovely with customers? Option two: Welcome いらっしゃいませ! If you are not buying anything (かわない + だったら), please just go back to wherever you came from (かえてください), okay (ね)? She says that when the customer is visiting the shop not to buy, but to admire her beauty. Carisa wants money, not attention, so she asks the customer to leave. It depends on who she is dealing with. Kurt already has two girls to choose a route, so it's very unlikely he is harassing Carisa. Option 1 is my bet! Let's see... Yay! No divergences this time. Very similar to my first sentence - just a different way to translate it. The only detail that is still not clear to me is the "ね" (ne), since it is not present in the translated phrase. Anyway, it's enough.
  3. Note that English subtitles do not mean that the game will reach America or Europe, but rather that the developer chose English instead of localizing the game in each Asian country in their respective language. This news is about covering other countries outside Japan while not leaving Asia.
  4. Today I bring another "greeting" phrase of Carisa: "ようこそ!冷やかしだったら痛い目みますよ。" ようこそ - welcome, nice to see you 冷やかし (ひやかし) - joke; visiting a shop asking the prices and leaving with empty hands だったら (verb + ~たら; in this case, I believe it is the plain form of です, "だ") - verb to be (is) + auxiliar ~tara that means "suggest something" http://www.learn-japanese-adventure.com/japanese-conditional-form-tara.html 痛い (いたい) - painful, sore; difficult, insupportable 目 (め) - eye みます (present indicative polite form of verb みる) - to look よ - "at the end of a sentence to state a strong conviction / At the end of a sentence to articulate a request or suggestion". Honestly, I did not fully understand the use of "yo", but in Snow Halation 見せるよ(miseru yo) means "I will show" or "We will show". Also "namae wo tsukeyou ka" ("Shall I assign a name?"). It is something related to the speaker or whom it speaks to. After thinking a bit I think it means (literally): "Welcome! If I were you, my eyes would be tired of looking at the goods without being able to buy anything." "Welcome! If I were you, would be a pain to my eyes of looking at the goods without being able to buy anything." "Welcome! I see your sore eyes of looking at the goods without being able to buy anything." I'm not sure of which is correct, if one of them is, but I am more inclined to the first two options due the presence of "dattara" (suggest to be). How the translation team dealt with this sentence: "Bem-vindo de volta. Sou uma visão para olhos cansados?" (Sou algo agradável de se ver?) ようこそ = welcome back, okay The rest is a bit... weird. How I think they translated this sentence taking in account the definition of each word: 冷やかし - one of the meanings of hiyakashi is joke. It is not present in the translated phrase but indicates that what she is saying is a joke(?) いたい + 目 - sore eyes みます + よ - in this case I suppose it does not mean that she (the speaker) will do something ("I will look"), but that she is something to look at, a "sight". Who looks, looks at something or a direction. だったら - verb to be + suggestion; present in the sentence as "am I...?" My translation: Welcome (ようこそ)! Looking at goods without buying (ひやかし) must be (だったら) a pain for your eyes (痛い目), I see (みますよ). Theirs: Welcome back (ようこそ)! What I'm going to say now is a joke (冷やかし): Am I (だったら) for sore eyes (痛い目) a sight (みますよ)? She is a seller, so I can't discard the definition "browse a shop and not buy" for 冷やかし because it is related to the context, but maybe "joke" is also valid. Which do you think is correct? EDIT (07/08): Luiz Rafael from Programa Japonês Online channel explained it to me through a video. Translating to English: Welcome! (ようこそ) If you are only to look (冷やかし+だったら), you're in trouble (痛い目みます), okay (よ)? 痛い = sore 目 = eye みます = to look But... together they mean "be in trouble". Idiomatic expression.
  5. Let's get started! One of the phrases we usually hear from this adorable young lady is: "毎度どうもです。神様はお客様じゃなくてお金様ですよね!" Fortunately I know a very useful resource that not only translate texts, but also tells the reading, base of conjugation (for verbs), the class (if it is a verb, substantive, particle etc) and more. http://nihongo.j-talk.com/ Awesome, is not it? Returning to the phrase, I will add some spaces to understand it better: "毎度 どうも です![...]" 毎度(まいど/maido) - each time, always どうも - thanks/hello (it has a lot of meanings) です - polite present form of verb "to be" I will consider as "Thank you!". "神様はお客様じゃなくてお金様ですよね!" 神様 (かみさま)- "Kamisama"; this one is easy, because you probably heard a lot of it while watching anime, right? It means "God" は - particle "wa"; it is written like "na" but is pronounced "wa". Everything that is placed after this particle in the sentence is related to the word that is before. Until now, literally I have "Talking about god" or "Related to god"... お客様 - guest, visitor, customer じゃなくて - this one is complicated. It is easier to understand by the use than theory http://www.tanoshiijapanese.com/dictionary/entry_details.cfm?entry_id=103243&element_id=128958&conjugation_type_id=74 お金 (おかね) - money + さま - polite form to refer to a person (usually). It is weird because money is not a person, but I am not surprised with it since Carisa really likes money! お金さま - okane-sama (Mr. Money ó.o) です (to be) + よね - of course it is The literal translation I can think of would be: "Thank you! God is a customer with money, of course it is." Very strange, is not it? Let's see how the translation team dealt with this sentence: I believe this translation is incorrect because there is a dot separating です and 神様. Now that I think about , the phrase "God is a patron, a source of money" maybe was originated from it, because a "customer with money" or "paying customer" is also a patron (a recurrent/regular customer), a source of something Carisa is so obsessed with: money-sama!
